06 / About
Hi, I’m TJ.
I’ve been building for the web for over ten years, and I run TJOnCall alone, one client at a time. I design it, build it, host it, and answer when you call.
Most website companies hand you the keys and disappear. The whole point of this one is that I stick around.

In their words.
The tailgate page has the actual MetLife home schedule on it. Somebody taps a date and the request lands with the game and their whole order already on it. Nineteen years of taking that down over the phone, and now it just shows up.”
-
“Thirty years of work and all of it was sitting on our phones. Steven sent over a folder of our actual properties and that is what is on the site now, not stock pictures of somebody else’s lawn. When we finish something good we just send it to him.”

“TJ rebuilt my site to actually look like the films I make. He asked questions I hadn’t thought to ask. Site’s been live a few months now and I don’t have to babysit it. That’s worth the price by itself.”

“TJ’s been our guy from the start. Built our first site, rebuilt it cleaner a while back, and keeps it running. When something needs changing I text him and it changes, same day. That’s not normal.”

Common questions.
The stuff people ask before they book. If yours isn’t here, ask on the call.
Pricing & payment
-
What if I need more than 6 pages?
Six covers most service businesses: home, about, services, contact, gallery, testimonials. Need more? $75 each. No tiers, no upsells. -
When do I pay?
Half up front ($375), half at launch ($375). That’s the whole build cost. No other line items. The $49/month Care plan is separate, starts once your site is live, and you can cancel anytime. -
What happens if I cancel the Care plan?
No early-cancel fees. Your site stays up through the end of the billing month, then comes down. If you want to host it elsewhere, I send you the files. No contracts to break. -
What’s the catch with $49/month?
There isn’t one. The $49 covers hosting, maintenance, and unlimited updates: everything that keeps the site running well after launch. Cancel anytime.
The work
-
Can you redesign my existing site instead of starting from scratch?
Yes. Sometimes that’s cheaper and faster. We’ll talk through what’s worth keeping on our first call. -
Do you do SEO?
The technical foundation (fast loading, clean code, and the tags Google reads) is baked into every site I build, and I register it with Google and Bing on day one so you are in the index from launch instead of waiting to be found. That part is included at no extra cost. Ongoing SEO, meaning keyword and content work with monthly reporting, is a separate service at $150 a month. Ask me about it on the call. -
Do you do e-commerce?
Most service businesses don’t need full e-commerce. You just need a way to accept payment for specific things (deposits, event tickets, scheduled sessions). I wire up Stripe, Square, Shopify embeds, or ticketing platforms so that works without an extra platform to maintain. For full product catalogs with inventory and shipping, Shopify is the right tool. I’ll help you connect a Shopify storefront to your site, but I don’t custom-build storefronts from scratch.
After launch
-
Can I edit the site myself?
Most of my clients don’t want to. That’s what the Care plan is for. You send me what needs to change and I get it done. No CMS to learn, no plugins to keep updated, nothing on your end to maintain. -
Where do contact form submissions go?
Straight to your business email. Spam-protected so you don’t get junk. -
Do you handle the domain and DNS?
Yes. If you don’t have a domain yet, I help you register one. If you already have one, I move it onto Cloudflare and handle the technical setup. You don’t have to log into a domain registrar.
